When we first discussed planning for our Montana trip, the main purpose was to meet Dom, Martha & family. Since we were so far away from home, it also gave us a chance to search out talked about, motorcycle roads. We see them mentioned on all the m/c forums. We left Orofino, ID early on Friday morning after a hotel supplied continental breakfast of waffles and boiled eggs and headed west towards Lewiston. It was a great week that seems too short. We arrived in Abbott Valley, Montana on Monday evening and spent two action packed days with Dom and his family and headed south through Idaho, Washington on our way to eastern Oregon. Dom has already posted a detailed report of our activities complete with photos so no use to duplicate his efforts. Last Week I happened to bump into Rocci who was at the Urban Wasp Charity BBQ. I hadn't seen her for a while and she had not been riding for a year or so because of a back ailment. Today is June 5th. Today is our 42nd wedding anniversary. Who would have thought that 2 people who knew nothing about the world are still sharing our lives together after all this time. It called for something special. I know that it doesn't look like much food on the plate, but after a couple of plates you really shouldn't be looking for more. I follow a lot of photography forums and recently there was a heated discussion about the decline of the Wedding photographer. Often there are members or friends of the family who have a camera and are asked to photograph their wedding. Non-pros are often called Uncle Bobs, or GWC (Guys with camera). These can also include Guests, with camera who try to follow around the PRO to snap the shots after they have been "set up" resulting in photos being posted on FaceBook or other sites and inevitably means less income for the Wedding Photographer who depends upon these shoots… Full Story »

Everything revolves around eating, or having a meal with friends. Even a ride will start or end with a meal. I love food and don't know when to stop. A few years ago we stopped going to buffets (All you can eat) because I always have one plate too much. It's not as bad now as it was in the past where I would often pile my plate with food and go back 5 or 6 times. Then there was that dessert table filled with whipped cream confections. Today was family day but on the way home I stopped at our local scooter dealer, Rideaway Motors, a Kymco Dealer. When I arrived I was greeted with "your two scooters are here". I didn't know what that meant but I noticed that my previous Maxi-Scoot Kymco Exciting 500Ri was parked but did not notice our prev Vino. It was a whirlwind sale.
